DNV Global Solutions Reflect on a Momentous Year

As it comes closer to the end of the year, here at DNV Global Solutions we wanted to reflect on the past 12 months and look forward to making 2013 even better!  It’s been an incredible year for everyone involved with DNV.  Starting the year with one office in Newcastle and one client, we’ve now expanded into Scotland opening a flag ship office in Glasgow and we’ve been incredibly lucky to add 2 of the most recognised brands within Home Security and Charity Fundraising to our client portfolio.  Along the way we’ve managed to assemble a group of amazing men and women who share our passion and enthusiasm for what we do and who are working hard to help make our expansion goals a reality.  Our people are our business and our mission is to provide an abundance of learning opportunities for everyone in order to enable them to reach their full potential.

Expansions plans

Our goal for 2013 is to open an office in Dundee by the end of the first Financial Quarter.   We’re really excited about moving into an unexplored market and we believe that Dundee could prove to be the first step in making DNV one of the most successful direct Sales companies in the UK.   DNV has the potential to be a recognised business internationally and our aim is to open an office in Australia in 2014.

Managing Director James Watson added “This year was a learning curve; we were like the rookie team moving up from the lower division into the big time.  Now we’ve found our feet I’m confident DNV will be the one to watch in 2013, it’s going to be a huge year for everyone involved!”

We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

How Apple Has Changed The Way We Work

How Apple Has Changed The Way We Work

There can be no doubt that Apple is the market leader when it comes to introducing new technology into the lucrative Telecommunications, computing and tablet markets.  Since Apple broke into the Telecommunications market with the launch of the original iPhone in 2007, established mobile manufactures quickly adapted their product line to include very similar devices to the iPhone.  It is essentially a mini computer allowing you to carry out all the functions you would on a laptop or PC but on a smaller more portable scale.  In the current world we live in where technology is ever evolving and most business men and women rarely leave their home or office without their mobile, the iPhone means that we can work on the go without the fear of missing a crucial deadline or an important email.  The iPhone 5 set a new sales record with 2 million customers pre-ordering the device on the first day proving the strong hold apple has on the marker and the desire customers have to get there hands on apples latest creation.   Managing Director of DNV James Watson shared his thoughts on the iPhone stating “ I don’t know what I did before I had an iPhone, I can’t imagine life without it as it makes carrying out everyday business tasks so simple.”
The launch of the iPad in 2010 breathed new life into the once stale tablet market inspiring many rival companies to release their own interpretation of the tablet.  Essentially a larger version of the iPhone, the iPad allowed users to carry out all the functions as the iPhone and Apple currently has 69.6% of the Global tablet market showing it’s dominance within the tablet market.  The iPad is now an essential tool for many businesses.
Here at DNV we use the full range of Apple products from iPods in the office reception to iPhone, iPads and laptops for calling, emailing and all other daily work place activities.  We eagerly await the launch of the new iPhone 5 on September 21st along with millions of other excited Apple customers. Managing Director James Watson added "I await the arrival of my new iPhone 5 with excited anticipation, to see what new features Apple has come up with for this incredible product."  We are looking forward to the next product from Apple that will revolutionise the market place and make our day-to-day business lives easier.
